Nichole and Drew’s Wedding
To close out the 2015 Wedding season (for me) I was recently able to help Nichole and Drew celebrate their Wedding in Maple Park, Illinois at Kuiper’s Family Farm.
I had never been to Kuiper’s Family Farm before, probably because they had only begun having weddings there this year (2015). It was a really unique venue to host a wedding. Kuiper’s is actually an apple orchard and pumpkin farm, which obviously hosts private events now as well. For cocktail hour, Nichole and Drew’s guests gathered in the “silo” which was attached which was a converted silo, with a very modernized (especially for being inside of a converted silo) bar inside! The actual reception hall was a barn type setting with an all wood dance area in the middle of the room. Kuiper’s is known for their apple based foods and drinks, and that is definitely for a reason! For dessert they served apple doughnut sundaes which were beyond amazing.
Nichole (or Nikki) and Drew had a pretty short engagement (just 9 months) even though they’ve been together for a few years by the time they got married. Based on this wedding, you would have thought they had a lot more time to plan and get everything organized. I was definitely impressed. They were truly a delightful couple to work with and get to know throughout the six months I had with them between booking me and having their wedding. I was happy to be able to work with them and advise them on the day of planning and timeline of events for their wedding based on my extensive experience throughout the years.
Congratulations again to Nikki and Drew!
